How do period pants work?

Period Knickers are reusable functional panties with multi-layer crotch technology. They look and feel just like normal knickers but have built-in, leakproof technology.

How does the multi-layer crotch technology work?

Our knickers have 4 layers of protection.

Layer 1 keeps the fluids away from your skin.

Layer 2 is the absorbent layer.

Layer 3 is the leak proof layer preventing leaks

Layer 4 is the breathable layer keeping you feeling fresh through the day.

With 4 layers of protection, you can feel confidence and seize the day without having to worry about all the normal discomfort and 'messiness' that comes with periods!

We have 2 styles of layering:

Style 1: The 4 layers run similar to standard knickers, these still give you protection and comfort but may leak when you are sleeping or lying down.

Style 2: The 4 layers continue up to the waistband at the back, this gives you more protection especially when you are sleeping or if you are active.

Do period knickers really not leak?

The average daily menstrual blood volume during their period is between 5 and 60 mls. A heavy period is 80 mls and above.

 

With Knickers by FullStop., you shouldn'y have any problem wearing your period pants all day long!! Many of our knickers hold more than 40 mls, so we have you covered.

However, if you are having an exceptionally heavy period, then we would recommend taking a spare pair of Period Knickers with you.

How to wash period pants?

Machine Wash Cold

​

Throw them in with the rest of your laundry on a delicate COLD (below 30℃) cycle (your other clothes will be fine!) Dry them on a line.

Hand Wash

​

If you prefer to hand wash or just don't have a washing machine then you can hand wash in cold water (below 30℃) with a little detergent and dry them on a line.

Just a tip:

Before first use, in order to develop the absorption capacity of the absorbent fabric. it is necessary to wash the menstrual panties several times.
